- New Year’s Day (the first day of January)
- Martin Luther King Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day (the fourth of July)
- Labor Day (the first Monday of September)
- Veterans’ Day (the eleventh of November)
- Thanksgiving Day (the fourth Thursday of November)
- The day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day (or appropriate religious holiday) (the twenty-fifth of December)
- Christmas Eve (1/2 day)
- New Year's Eve (1/2 day)
- Presidents Day
- Primary & General Election Days
- West Virginia Day
- Columbus Day
If a holiday falls on Saturday, it will be observed on the preceding Friday. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday.
